Hello all,
If you have any questions, please feel free to swing by to chat. It is difficult to put the new format into words, but this was my best attempt in doing so.
Regional & Sub-State Volleyball Info
The SH VB team will travel to Chase County in Cottonwood Falls for a regional 1st round post season quad to be held on Monday, October 21st starting at 5:00pm. The other teams in this quad are Chase County, Marion, & Bennington. The top 2 teams will advance to the Hillsboro substate to be held on Saturday, Oct 26th. There will be 8 teams at the Hillsboro substate playing in two separate brackets. Two teams (the winners of each four team bracket) will advance to the state volleyball tournament.
This is the first season of the new KSHSAA postseason volleyball format. Below is a direct link to the KSHSAA website that breaks out the 64 class 2A schools into four regionals with each regional split into 4 quads. We are assigned Regional #3 and SH can be found under the "QB" tab (Quad B) at the bottom of the regional #3 bracket. There will be 2 teams from each of the four regionals that will advance to the state tournament. This new format was instituted by KSHSAA to provide (at least in part) for two schools in the same geographic area the opportunity to advance to the state tournament.

Introducing our NEW Alma Mater!
At the football game tonight, our music department will be debuting our new Sacred Heart Alma Mater during pregame! Our choir and band students, with the help of Bennington HS band, will perform it for our Homecoming crowd.
This has been a project of our band director, Mr. Barlow, since this summer, and he is excited to share it with you all!
What is an Alma Mater? An Alma Mater is a school anthem that is typically played or sung at sporting events or school functions, like graduation or alumni events. Many universities and high schools across the nation have an Alma Mater, and we feel it was important for Sacred Heart to have one as well.
This is a step forward in creating a positive culture within our music department and school that will bring tradition for years to come.
We will debut the new Alma Mater at 6:45pm tonight, before the Homecoming football game.
Go Knights!

JHVB: Here is the information for the games at Ellsworth tomorrow. ABA is at the high school, BCC is at City Hall.
