AT-HOME STUDENT ART COMPETITION  Theme: Growing in Virtue, Preparing for Sainthood. Words on artwork are optional and title does not need to appear on artwork. The goal is creativity and connection to our faith. Media: Students are free to choose the type of art they would like to create! Options include but are not limited to: pencil, marker, collage, pastels, charcoal, paint, watercolor.  Material: Artwork must be unframed on paper or canvas board Size: Art should be on material no bigger than 11x14 Awards given: Bishop’s Choice, People’s Choice in the following:  Kindergarten - 2nd Grade 3rd & 4th Grade 5th & 6th Grade  Artwork must be submitted to the front office by end of day on October 11. Note: please do not sign the front of the artwork. Name and grade level need to be added to the  back of the artwork.  We are excited to announce as a part of the Celebration of Faith & Fine Arts event on October 19th, an at-home student art competition. Students are encouraged to participate in creating a piece of art that represents this year’s theme: Growing in Virtue, Preparing for Sainthood. An adult-exclusive social for the SMGS community to celebrate the time and talents of our most cherished treasure - our students. Classroom artwork, class parties, and community experiences will be available for bidding. We know how much our community loves these items! Come enjoy a casual evening with other SMGS parents, grandparents, and members of our community. This is a 21+ event. Complimentary drinks and light appetizers will be served. Free entry. Salina Regional Health Center will be providing on site flu vaccines Thursday, October 17 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sacred Heart Jr. Sr. High School. This is during parent teacher conferences. All are welcome (children 6 months and older, students, parents, grandparents, SH and SMGS friends and supporters). Please bring your insurance card. If you have state insurance, we will unfortunately NOT be able to provide the vaccine at Sacred Heart. Those with state insurance may go to the vaccine clinics at ComCare sites, SRHC Pediatric Care, and Salina Family Healthcare for their vaccine.
